Job Purpose:
This position plays a key part in the implementation of the maintenance activity at an operational level, to provide the efficient operational platform enabling fuel and lubricants sales as well as end-customer satisfaction.
The Maintenance Engineer will enhance service quality and equipment reliability by improving workflows and optimizing maintenance processes.
This position, a key link between the field maintenance organization and the engineering team, will provide input to improve equipment design, reliability, and maintainability.
The Maintenance Engineer has a critical role in connecting field operations with the maintenance organization, helping minimize downtime and failure rates and maximize equipment productivity.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise amp; manage the on-site maintenance amp; minor Opex activities (eg. Pump, Servicing, RVI replacements) via external contractors at Retail service stations and B2B site to ensure an efficient (speed) amp; effective (quality control and best value for money) maintenance service.
- Ensure appropriate work prioritization and planning, to mitigate failure impact on fuels and lubricants sales, customer perception, brand excellence as well as HSSE standards.
- Ensure proper functioning of the additivation system
- Administers the retail maintenance contract (s), ensuring flawless adherence to maintenance SLAs and service policy.
Requirements
Principal Accountabilities:
- Drafts the Retail maintenance plan in line with the asset management amp; retail investment plans subject to support from Retail maintenance manager, amp; network manager
- Guardian of the Maintenance SLA and KPIs under the guidance of the Retail maintenance Manager
- Ensures agreed HSSE standards are maintained .
- Ensures application of asset management plan and maintenance programs.
- Supports Retail Maintenance Manager in planning for equipment and maintenance resources and correcting existing discrepancies.
- Identifies and captures opportunities for improvement in equipment maintainability and reliability.
- Support with the implementation of minor capex revamp projects (pump replacement, RVI, electrical, interceptor) from design/tender to implementation, in close collaboration with the construction Engineers
- Participates in technical audits and compliance assessments, and follows up on closure of remedial action plans.
- Performs Sites audits to support asset management planning.
- Keep current with latest equipment, technologies, and maintenance methods.
- Manage Maintenance Opex maintenance cost to stay below target.
- Contract management
- Supports the budget build up amp; proposed scheduling of planned maintenance INCLUDING ADDITIVATION SYSTEM; Optimize maintenance costs by improving the efficiency of maintenance processes across Retail (roll out of best practices amp; deployment of new technology).
Key Challenges:
- Analyze and prioritize maintenance queries, in order to optimize asset management, maintenance OPEX spending, and maximize equipment availability for fuel and lubricants sales
- Work under constant pressure, amp; be able to respond to urgency due to equipment breakdowns/failure, act appropriately and deploy contractors maintenance teams accordingly
- Measure and improve effectiveness of maintenance performance through the implementation and interrogation of new maintenance systems.
- Ensure SLA compliance via accurate KPIs, and liaise daily with CSC maintenance Support amp; Maintenance contractors to ensure performance monitoring.
- Manage external professionals amp; contractors of different competence levels.
- Promote a high level of HSSE over a diversity of projects, contractors, regions amp; culture.
Experience and Qualifications :
- Graduate professional (BAC+5) with proven hand-on experience in Construction Project Management (Background: Civil Work Engineering +++).
- Prior Experience/Extensive Knowledge in maintenance service processes
- Prior Experience in Contract amp; Procurement management
- Strong amp; proven customer interface/relationship skills, great negotiation skills
- Strong amp; proven analytical and problem solving skills
- Sense of urgency and rigor
- Quick integration amp; understanding of business needs and high priorities
- Comprehensive interpersonal and communication skills
