We are looking for a competent Maintenance Supervisor to manage maintenance in our facilities (vehicles and equipment). You will be responsible for hiring and training staff and ensuring the smooth running of upkeep or repair operations. An excellent maintenance supervisor must be reliable and have a great eye for detail. They must have technical skills and knowledge of various crafts such as vehicle painting, electrical wiring, etc. Leadership and knowledge of administrative tasks such as scheduling and inventory management are also essential. The goal is to ensure that our vehicles and equipment are in a good and safe condition at all times.

Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicles, equipment, and machinery periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
- Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work to team members
- Recruit, supervise, and train maintenance technicians
- Supervises all vehicles, equipment, and machinery being cleaned, painted, repaired, and coded to ensure the quality of work
- Contribute to the development of maintenance budget, ensure compliance, and work towards efficient maintenance costs, driving cost savings where applicable without compromising the quality of services
- Monitor inventory of materials and equipment
- Participate in coordination of projects (e.g. renovations)
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations; ensures the Garage safely operates according to safety policies and procedures.
- Assigns, supervises and participates in major and minor mechanical repairs on all vehicles, machinery and heavy equipment
- Supervises all equipment mobilization and demobilization between plant and sites.
- Ensures preventive and predictive maintenance for all vehicles, equipment, and machinery are completed
- Conducts training for employees for new techniques in mechanical repairs.
- Supervises stock inventory and precedes requests for purchase of required parts, tools, machinery.
- Ensures stock movement record maintained.
- Plans an effective availability of workshop tools enabling coverage of minor amp; major maintenance and repair activities.
- Maintains efficient storage of workshop tools.
- Ensures all Equipment/Vehicles/Machineries maintenance cards are updated on an activity basis.
- Efficient management of operations to reduce costs while ensuring all maintenance works are carried out well and continuously find ways to improve current operations/ actovities
Requirements
- Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor or similar role; at least 15 years relevant experience with 5 years in a supervisory role
- Strong technical knowledge
- Knowledge of health amp; safety practices and regulations
- Understanding of budgeting and performance management
- Excellent planning and leadership abilities
- An eye for detail
- Computer savvy to prepare reports and track materials, inventory
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma; Degree from a vocational school or Degree in Mechanical Engineering will be a plus
- Professional Certifications are preferred
