We are looking for a Storekeeper / Warehouse Worker to participate in our warehouse operations and activities in our Ivory Coast project. Storekeeper/ Warehouse Worker responsibilities include storing materials, picking, packing, and scanning orders. The goal is to increase efficiency and internal customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Receives all incoming materials and reconciles with purchase orders
- Checks all incoming materials for possible damages, scratches, or discrepancies and keeps the management informed
- Ensures proper storage and release of supplies as requested ensuring proper documentation of all incoming/outgoing transactions
- Keeps an updated inventory and stock records of the supplies and equipment in store
- Attends a physical monthly stock audit to tally with records
- Resolves discrepancies regarding receipts, deliveries, and warranties
- Initiates materials requests in coordination with management and in parallel with stock balance
- Maintains the store/warehouse area in a neat and orderly manner
- Distributes and supervises coordinated activities of assigned personnel (for subcontracted labors for example)
- Receives, stores, tags and tracks scrap items received from sites.
- Takes necessary measures to ensure that materials are stored in a manner preventing damage or wastage.
- Demonstrates good knowledge in the use of computer software applications and database management, as well as administrative procedures.
- Ensures the warehouse is safely operating according to safety policies and procedures.
- Complete dialy logs into inventory management system
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation
- Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
Requirements
To be considered for the role, you must have/ be:
- Proven working experience as a Warehouse Worker, minimum of 5 years of work experience
- Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and habing a safety mindset
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Current forklift license
- High school degree, a university or vocational degree will be a plus
- Good English and French communication skills
