Summary

VillageReach invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of Supply Chain Manager on the Côte d’Ivoire (CI) team. The Cote d’Ivoire team works closely with government and the Ministry of Health to support delivery of equitable primary health care. The Manager will support the CI team by providing supply chain expertise to improve access to health products and services for under-reached communities, with a focus on strengthening supply chain equity to improve routine immunization coverage for zero-dose and under-immunized children, as well as support and manage other supply chain work as it arises. The successful candidate will be a person motivated by mission, by a highly dynamic and entrepreneurial environment, and by the understanding that their contribution can and will impact the success of VillageReach. Candidates must be eligible to work in Côte d’Ivoire.This position does not qualify for relocation or work permit sponsorship. This is an immediate hire and candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

Promoting Equity through Supply Chain (90%)

VillageReach developed a guide for promoting an equity lens in supply chain to improve supply outcomes of availability, potency, and access. The guide is available here: https://www.technet-21.org/en/library/main/6441-promoting-equitable-health-product-access-%20.

  • Support the deployment and implementation of supply chain equity guidance by designing, conducting, and documenting sub-national and national supply chain assessments aligned with government priorities
  • Analyze national supply chain and immunization data to identify supply chain gaps and challenges
  • Support data collection on the National Immunization Program performance, immunization campaigns data, and vaccine logistics data
  • Support the collection of country context information that can either positively or negatively impact the performance of the National Immunization Program
  • Support using data triangulation to map and identify zero-dose kids using immunization campaign data using Excel and PowerBI
  • Support implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of sub-national supply chain improvements using best practices of supply chain design and last mile delivery focused on improving coverage for zero-dose and under-immunized communities
  • Collaborate with government to communicate the importance and value of equity, in relation to efficiency
  • Collaborate with other supply chain partners to identify opportunities for deployment of the guidance where VillageReach does not have presence
  • Build partnerships with donors and governments to use the supply chain equity framework in their funding applications
  • Socialize the equity framework through multiple mechanisms, such as organizing webinars, posting on forums, writing blogs etc.
  • Document learnings through case studies, presentations, and technical briefs
  • Share findings with government and partners
  • Contribute to the donor reports and other major deliverables

Cross-cutting team support and business development: (10%)

  • Manager supply chain deliverables and timelines across multiple grants as they arise
  • Support with writing proposals and concept notes to build VillageReach’s presence in supply chain in Cote d’Ivoire
  • Liaise with VillageReach advocacy and communications team to produce communications materials including white papers, collateral, and/or blogs relevant to VillageReach project work
  • Attend relevant meetings and report on progress on Supply Chain programs in Cote d’Ivoire in accordance to VillageReach standards.
